Lithops "Spider Man"

"Spider Man" is an old hybrid cultivar, originating from a cross between 'Hot Lips' and Lithops hallii.

The first-generation hybrids leaned more toward the texture of hallii, thick skin, convex-concave patterns, all uniform in appearance.

The second-generation plants began to show different characteristics. Most of them lost some of the thick hallii-like skin texture and gained the light, delicate feel of Lithops julii.

The biggest surprise was that some individuals emerged with patterns similar to Kiku, though I can guarantee that Kiku was not involved in this cross at all. These patterns gave off stronger Spider-Man feels, so I continued selecting along this direction and developed this line.

Hybrid Variegated cultivar "Golden Crown"

F1 Formula = Lithops karasmontana × Lithops hallii F2 = F1 pollinated F3 = F2 Kiku-pattern pollinated This is a hybrid variegated cultivar. It develops variegation without intense sunlight. Most first-generation plants only window variegated, while second-generation specimens usually present full-body variegation. The third-generation plants have evolved toward Kiku-pattern variegation. Most hybrids involving Lithops hallii show similar kiku vein features, just like my latest-generation "Spider Man". Second-generation plants are currently in my selling catalog.
